5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 10)

2. Bayley Hiding Behind Sasha Banks

This is the best storyline WWE has purring on SmackDown.

Everything about the segment clicked. Tamina was surprisingly good on the mic (this might've been her best promo work ever), Sasha Banks' reaction to claims that her "bestie" is screwing her and Bayley's cowardly mannerisms were all spot on. Everyone did their job well in this one.

WWE continue sowing the seeds for a Sasha babyface turn and match with Bayley. That, assuming the company don't need it sooner, has SummerSlam written all over it. Who knows, the world might be back to normal by that point too and a red-hot crowd in Boston will see hometown gal Banks take the SmackDown Women's Title.

That sounds like a pipe dream right now. In the short-term, everyone made the best of a segment that could've easily been flat. There's trouble ahead for these so-called best friends, and that suits everyone.
