5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 27)

3. Match Of The Night

Imperium Legado del Fantasma

On paper, Legado del Fantasma and Imperium were up against it in Texas.

Both duos are heels, so this could've been one of those matches with a wandering crowd who take the opportunity to go for a p*ss, buy some merch or grab another drink. The good news? It wasn't. The actual wrestling was so slick that fans got onboard early and stuck with it.

It's so cool to see Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci getting some spotlight separate from GUNTHER too. They deserve that, 'cause they're one of the best tags around on the roster right now. You can tell Kaiser and Vinci enjoyed this sort of focus, and they're a credit to this ongoing tournament as finalists.

Sure, it's a bit of a bummer to miss out on Drew/Sheamus vs. Imperium, but Braun Strowman and Ricochet will produce the goods vs. Ludwig and Giovanni anyway. The winners aren't too predictable either - WWE could get away with programming both finalists vs. The Usos.
