5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 15)

3. A WrestleMania Rematch Nobody Asked For

Who in the name of WrestleMania rematches decided to give Elias and 'King' Corbin 15 minutes and two commercial breaks this week? The boys worked hard, no doubt, but this was just too much time for them, and there seemed to be a few breakdowns in communication throughout their match.

Worse, the wrong man won.

Losing to Elias does nothing for Corbin heading into his match against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on Monday's Raw. On that note, winning via small package does next-to-nowt for Eli either - he got a lucky win over someone who put him on the shelf and has tormented him for months. A lucky win.

That doesn't cut it, and it doesn't make Elias look like a vindicated babyface. He's blatant fodder for AJ Styles when he of many 'Taker flashbacks beats Shinsuke Nakamura next week. This wasn't good despite the graft from both guys.
