5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 20)
4. Better Than It Had Any Right To Be
Score one for Happy Corbin too.
Your writer has to be honest. He had a feeling of overwhelming dread once it became clear that Corbin was coming out for an obvious long-winded promo skit, but it was surprisingly solid and did move his feud with Madcap Moss on a tad. That was unexpected.
No, the Andre trophy isn't as important as WWE occasionally likes to pretend it is, but Corbs did well with what he had here. It's not easy for someone to go out there solo for 10 minutes in front of a lifeless crowd and yak on about a secondary feud. The big guy managed it though.
Online reports suggest that Moss is about to get a much-needed overhaul too, and that should be considered a huge positive for these guys. They couldn't keep going as they were, and they needed to oust that Andre trophy at some point.
