5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 41 - Night 2 (Results & Review)

UPS…

5. Women’s Tag Gets Some Shine

To be honest, this one could have gone either way. Becky Lynch’s return meant Bayley got bumped from WrestleMania, it lead to Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkryia playing second fiddle, and it meant that Liv Morgan would lose at Mania after a tremendous year.

However, the match provided some of what you want in a WrestleMania match: a huge moment with Lynch’s shock return, a title change, and some good in-ring action. The match itself was inoffensive fun, with Morgan playing the sh**-talking heel who got her comeuppance after months of claiming that she had driven Becky in retirement.

Lynch had a bit of ring rust, but she came through with the hot tag at the end, delivering a Molly-Go-Round on Raquel Rodriguez, rolling through and hitting Liv with a Bexploder. She and Lyra made a good team, with Valkyria saving Becky after an Oblivion, ultimately allowing Lynch to pick up the win with a Manhandle Slam.

Even though she was overshadowed by Lynch’s big return, Lyra had a nice moment afterward holding two titles aloft at WrestleMania, which is a good endorsement from the company. Hopefully they keep that faith in her going forward.
