5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (3 Nov)

1. Miro, Redeemed

Bryan Danielson Miro
AEW

AEW couldn't have done a better job of replacing Jon Moxley in the World Title Eliminator tournament, as Miro emerged from a reflective period after losing the TNT belt to flatten Orange Cassidy in the main event.

Forsaken by his god, Miro has spent his past few weeks purposefully hiding away, not emerging until he had proven himself worthy of returning home to his wife. That journey continued through a match that saw Cassidy target his imposing opponent's weak neck on several occasions, hitting a swinging DDT and the Beach Break for two counts. OC was urgent, quick, and aggressive when not trying to frustrate Miro with sloth-like character work, entering one of his best performances in recent months.

Miro was Miro. He might be the best wrestler in the world when it comes to balancing dominance and vulnerability, as he always emerges from his bouts looking like the most imposing brute in the world despite giving his opponents plenty to crew on. The ongoing neck story helps with that. He works it into his matches well, and now, after over a year in AEW, he is close to mastering his style.

Oh, and he wrestles one of the greatest of all time next weekend.

Miro vs. Danielson is going to be hot.
