5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 14)

3. An All-Energy Main Event

FTR Shawn Spears
AEW

Tony Khan can't get enough of six-man tags. In his youth, when friends wanted to fire up a quick Hell In A Cell scrap on SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain, a fresh-faced Tony probs fancied playing endless sprints of tag matches, tag matches, tag matches.

Seriously though, at least this one was a good 'un.

Gates Of Agony have really impressed whenever they've been handed an opportunity, and FTR are always game for some tag-related giggles. Then, there's Shawn Spears. The ex-'Chairman' has returned to his old 'Perfect 10' gimmick as a babyface, and he could be better off for it.

It was great to see Shawn score a pin in the six-man tag too. That's his first win on TV since beating Big Damo in 90 seconds on the 20 May edition of Rampage. Now, AEW's next hurdle is making sure he doesn't fizzle out like so many comeback artists.
