5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 14)

2. Daniel Garcia’s Explanation

Daniel Garcia has shot to near the top of the list when it comes to surefire future World Champions in this promotion. He's great in-ring, but has shown a flair for timing on the microphone, and that's really, really important in the main event scene. That's even true in AEW, which is considered more wrestling-centric than WWE.

Recent booking has shown that this isn't strictly the case - All Elite likes promo segments just as much as Triple H does, and the wrestling side of things has started to even out again. That's why it's so neat to see Garcia excel in promos like he did on Rampage.

Kudos to Chris Jericho for laying out at the start of the segment so his JAS associates could do some talking. Even Anna Jay got to deliver some lines and introduce Daniel. The group has been a tad shaky at times, so that spotlight for everybody was needed.

Garcia smashed his side of the bargain when explaining why he hit Bryan Danielson with the belt on Dynamite. He should be pleased with his promo work.
