5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 14)

4. Better Than Most Short Builds

Dalton Castle AEW
AEW

Anyone tuning into Rampage who hasn't had the pleasure of experiencing Dalton Castle before would've been impressed by his mic work during that segment with the JAS. Sure, it's another quick fire build towards an ROH World Title match, but the skit worked well for what it was.

Casuals who happened to be channel hopping might've enjoyed Dalton's bizarre approach too. He's an energetic sort, and never seems to trip himself up by trying to get too wordy. No, it's all in the delivery more than what Castle is actually saying, and that's fine.

He looked like a star on Friday night.

It certainly doesn't hurt that Dalton is going straight into a mini-feud with Chris Jericho either. That guarantees TV time in AEW circles, but it would've been easy for the ROH regular to tank when the bright lights were on. He didn't, so kudos to him.
