Just a night removed from a catastrophic SummerSlam clash with The Big Show, Big Cass was set to permanently park his interminable rivalry with Enzo Amore via a show-opening street fight. Then, (more) disaster struck.

Just minutes into their 'Brooklyn Street Fight', the seven-footer took a bump to the floor that immediately left him in obvious pain. Attempting to continue was futile - Cass' selling was never as good as the real life agony he expressed hobbling around the ring.

Crumpling to the canvas attempting an Empire Elbow, Cass's foul-mouthed tirade reflected his real-life realisation that a period on the shelf beckoned in place of the push he'd hoped to receive after finally binning off his partner. It will most likely serve as an unfortunate coda to his entire career, considering the catastrophic nature of his overdue return...
