5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (2 Jan - Review)

1. Bloodthirsty Revenge… With A Headlock

Elias lost a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship due to Solo Sikoa’s attack several weeks back, so it’s understandable that he’d want to get his hands on the Bloodline’s Enforcer in a fight.

And Elias got his wish with a Music City Street Fight. The time for the match came, and there was Elias… playing a song. Well, at least after his hated rival interrupted him and came to the ring, Elias was ready to unleash weeks of anger and fury…

With a headlock.

Yep, after the violent opening to Raw, with Elias demanding his fight with Solo, the bell rang and the troubadour locked up and grabbed a headlock. In a street fight. There’s a time and place for a lockup, but this wasn’t it.

The match itself got better in the last 3-4 minutes, but the first two-thirds were a dull slog, a forgettable garbage brawl with music-themed plunder.
