4. ‘You Suck!’

It’s been a while since WWE fans repeatedly got to chant “You suck!” in time with the theme music of an Olympian, but Chad Gable finally helped the crowd achieve that goal Monday night.

Gable’s efforts to corrupt the other members of Alpha Academy finally bore fruit on Raw when Otis responded to a slap and clotheslined Sami Zayn, allowing Chad to hit Chaos Theory and pin the Intercontinental Champion. (It’s already been discussed how the path to get to this outcome was rocky, but the destination is a positive.)

Once the match was over, fans showered Gable with boos and the aforementioned chants, providing evidence that the maligning of Otis and company is working. Credit also has to go to Maxxine Dupri for looking like someone ran over her puppy, and to Otis for how conflicted he was.

All of this solidifies Gable’s standing as a breakout villain, and it could get even worse (better?) if he takes the next step and dumps Alpha Academy in favor of some diamonds on Raw, those being the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile.
