5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (22 May - Results & Review)

Ups…

5. A Convincing Win

Bronson Reed Ricochet

WWE clearly believes that Bronson Reed has some potential as an agile big man, as they’ve given him a decent mini-push since he debut.

Monday, Reed squared off with Ricochet in a match where the outcome was never in doubt, but the question was whether this would be a squash or a competitive contest. They opted for something closer to the latter, and the result was better for everyone involved.

By giving Ricochet a decent amount of offense and a narrative of trying to chop the bigger Bronson down, it made Reed’s comeback more impactful when he cut off the One and Only and finished him off with a ripcord powerslam and a Tsunami for the win.

Reed might not be a world champion (yet), but he looked impressive enough here and could be a threat for a future World Heavyweight Champion to overcome.
