5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw: Day 1 (Results & Review)

DOWNS…

5. Flubbed Cash-In… Again

Dominik Mysterio Damian Priest

How many times must Damian Priest be thwarted in trying to cash in his Money in the Bank title shot?

Priest stormed out during the Seth Rollins/Drew McIntyre World Heavyweight Championship match and attempted to cash in, but McIntyre hit him with a Claymore to put him down for the remainder of the bout, which Rollins won.

This has to be the fifth or sixth time Damian has come out to cash in, only to be stopped in some manner, leaving him looking foolish in the aftermath. In this case, Priest looked even worse, standing there holding his jaw and watching a wounded Rollins celebrate in the ring. How hard would it have been for him and Dominik Mysterio to rush the ring and attack Seth and then hand over the briefcase?

Instead, Priest looked almost impotent at ringside as Raw went off the air. Thankfully, WWE has booked Damian strongly for much of the past year, but this was a notable failure in how to handle the situation.
