5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 3)

1. More Pie-Related “Hilarity”

Charlotte Flair Pie

Toni getting some measure of revenge on Charlotte for pie-gate wasn't the worst idea, but did they need to use more bloody pies? What's the obsession here? It's so juvenile to see someone take that food to the face every week. Lord only knows how this is supposed to gear fans up for a title match.

Remember, that's the point here - Storm will challenge Flair for the SmackDown Women's Title eventually. This week, Charlotte knocked back Toni's pitch (for the millionth time) before getting thumped with Vince McMahon's favourite gag. This is not good.

Not good at all.

Now, this writer isn't opposed to some comedy on a wrestling show. Laughs have their place, but that's the problem with this: WWE crowds aren't giggling along. Instead, most are wondering aloud how this is supposed to get Storm over as a red hot babyface challenger.
