5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 8)

1. WWE's Complete Lack Of Faith

Yeesh.

Both Queen's Crown matches were too short to really mean anything. Zelina Vega vs. Toni Storm went just over two minutes, and Carmella vs. Liv Morgan was handed an outstanding (ahem) 90 seconds of ring time. If WWE think a combined four mins is enough for two tourney matches, then they're wrong.

This was a total waste of the tournament hype, to be honest. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee went into overdrive hyping up the Queen's Crown as a "first ever" honour for some lucky wrestler. Then, SmackDown weaved in four f*cking minutes of action for two quarter finals. Roman Reigns' entrance was longer than both matches combined, for crying out loud!

That's not a criticism of Roman - he's the top star, so he can take as long as he likes during segments. Come on though, surely Vega vs. Storm and 'Mella vs. Morgan deserved a bit longer than this? SmackDown didn't give hope to those praying for a world class women's tournament.
