5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 8)

3. What A Closing Stretch

Later, Finn Bálor and Cesaro tore the house down.

Admittedly, they didn't do so for the entire duration of their own 10-minute match. It even looked like these boys might be going through the motions early on (surely not), but they pulled the nose right up by increasing the tempo for the closing spots and finish.

Fans in San Jose were right on the edge of their seats as Finn scaled the corner turnbuckle and hit Cesaro with his trademark foot stomp; there was a missed opportunity here from the announcers mind. They didn't reference what had happened to Bálor's 'Demon' back at Extreme Rules.

This is the kind of quality both women's matches needed for the Queen's Crown tourney. Or, at least, they needed approx 10 mins each to try and make something of their appearances. Finn and Cesaro showed how a great finishing stretch makes the match.
