5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE WrestleMania Raw (27 March - Review)

DOWNS…

5. Positively Bad

Seth Rollins Mustafa Ali

At this point, Mustafa Ali has gotta be wishing his request for a release last year had been granted.

Let’s set aside the “heel” turn of the past several weeks, with Ali whining and complaining that he never gets an opportunity (though when he gets an opportunity, he cowers and complains). If the stupid heel turn gets him TV time, then maybe that’s not a bad thing.

But this heel character – a guy who preaches positivity and immediately gets his ass shown to himself – doesn’t work. Even the Miz doesn’t show his ass as quickly – and he gets a bunch of title reigns along the way! Mustafa is a job guy to WWE, a joke and it’s sad to watch.

We wish we could say “let it play out” in the hopes this would lead somewhere (and if it does, this writer will take a self-own in a future column), but the track record for Ali ain’t great.
