One for the fans of wrestling's odd aesthetics this, but WrestleMania XII remains the only WWE pay-per-view in company history to have branding or an event's logo on the canvas. More's the pity too, because it looked absolutely fantastic.
Allegedly just another fascinating Vince McMahon foible, the print on the mat was something he felt sullied the stage built for his Superstars - in spite of the advertising dollars WCW took in for splashing sponsors all over theirs.
Even during his organisation's financial nadir, it was a cash-grab too far for the Chairman, and an artistic choice he didn't believe best for his business. To some, it remains one of the most eye-catching aspects of this entire WrestleMania.
