Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels rightly defend this match as one of the best of their incomparable careers. The two go an hour in a worthy pro wrestling main event that - at the absolute least - can objectively be considered a hugely impressive athletic pursuit.
Subjectively, it was a bit of a bore.
The build-up infamously focused on Bret's grizzled experience going up against Shawn's exceptionalism, though both themes played far better against their Canada/America divide a year later than here. Technically excellent but dramatically hollow, the moment Bret looked at the clock late on to see the exact time he expected spoke to the mechanical nature of the match they'd assembled.
Elements are worthy of rewatch - Shawn's petulant post-match insistence that Bret and Jose Lothario get out of the ring especially - but the scant moments are better condensed rather than fully consumed.
