5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (Dec 8th)
DOWNS
5. Slammy Winners That Were Not There
There were eight Slammy Awards that were presented on Raw. Four of the winners of those awards were not there. This is a scripted television show. They could say the voting is legitimate and all that, but they also know who was going to win the awards or who had a shot at them. Brock Lesnar won the "OMG Shocking Moment" for beating The Undertaker at WrestleMania and he wasn't there. Paul Heyman accepted for him. Sting won the "This is Awesome" award for helping Team Cena at Survivor Series. He wasn't there. We have no idea when he'll be back although probably in January or February at the earliest. Seth Rollins stole the award. The Ultimate Warrior won for Surprise Return. He passed away, so obviously can't make it, but it would have been cool to see his family there to accept it. Why not fly them in? Budget cuts? It would have been a classy gesture. Chris Jericho won for Extreme Moment of the Year, which is cool, but he wasn't there. Fandango accepted it and said he beat Jericho at WrestleMania last year. Yeah he did. He's also done nothing since. Jericho is GM of Raw next week. By the way, Daniel Bryan was apparently at the show. He didn't win anything that was televised, but he could have been a presenter. Instead, he sat in the back and did nothing. What a waste.
