5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (Dec 8th)
4. Doing A Harper Vs. Rowan Match With No Build
The first Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan singles match should have taken place after doing a storyline to set it up and then treated as a big deal. Instead, it was a throwaway three minute match on this show that was full of those kinds of matches. It seems like they are going to do the match again down the road because they ended it with a weak finish when Harper slammed a ladder into Rowan. Then Rowan game back, got the advantage and ended it looking strong. Basically, this was done to make Rowan look dominant without having Harper lose a match. The problem with this booking is that when you do an awful match with a bad finish the first time they have a match, the fans are not going to care about future matches. Both guys have talent, but putting them together like this was a bad move.
