5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Raw (Dec 8th)

1. The Show Was Boring

Raw has been a boring show for a while and the Slammy Awards were no different. There was nothing on the show that was "must see" or really worth our time. If you missed it you really missed nothing. That's not the way that Raw should be, but sadly that's the way it is in 2014. Could you imagine sitting in the crowd at show? None of the matches got more than 10 minutes and some of the finishes of the matches were so bad. Not only that, but people at ringside paid hundreds of dollars to turn their heads to watch somebody standing on a stage while video packages took up a lot of the screen time. How many times can Rusev feud with Jack Swagger? We've seen it enough. They're not bad performers, but there has to be other options for Rusev. The previously mentioned Big Show vs. John Cena main event is also a match that makes people want to turn the show off because we've seen it so many times. Even a six man or eight man tag would have been better than that. A lot of fans are tuning out WWE because they are doing a terrible job of making their television shows feel like a big deal. The 2014 Slammys were proof of that. Hopefully next week with Jericho as the GM and Brock Lesnar returning it will feel "special" again. WWE's loyal fans deserve better than what we're getting.
