5 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 2)
Ups...
5. A Good Night For Good Brothers
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan was a perfectly acceptable tag match. There wasn't anything particularly exciting, and you probably already forgot about it by the time you woke up, but there weren't any glaring flaws either. On a show as imbalanced as last night's Raw, that's just about enough to earn a position in the 'Ups' column.
There wasn't much heat, and none of the participants looked particularly outstanding, but it was a decent way to fill 10+ minutes of television. 'The Good Brothers' picking up the win makes sense, too: they're the full-time tag team, after all, so there's no real justification for them falling to a thrown-together duo like Hardy and Jordan.
Matt took the pin, not Jason, which keeps the failing babyface protected. This makes sense if their brief alliance is heading towards Jordan's expected heel turn, as WWE now have Kurt Jr.'s frustration at Hardy eating the pinfall to play on. The sooner that happens, the better, as he still isn't getting the desired crowd reactions.
