5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 7)
5. Is She Obsessed?
Since capturing the Knockouts Championship, Taya Valkyrie has been nothing more than a coward. You can’t even argue that it adds to her character because it simply doesn’t – sure, back away from challenges here and there, but not every single week. We saw her use the 30 day clause against Madison Rayne so that she didn’t have to defend her title within that time frame, and now it appears she’s doing the same to Rosemary.
Apparently, Taya thinks The Demon Assassin is obsessed with her. The last time they were properly at each other’s throats was in April 2018, so if Rosemary is obsessed with taking the fight to the champ, she wouldn’t be caring that much about Su Yung right now. If anything, she’s more focused on the Knockouts Championship itself as opposed to the person holding the title.
As has become common with Taya as champion, Rosemary would only receive a non-title match for now. It’s really becoming tedious. Nothing is being achieved from these promos. It makes Taya look like the weakest champion possible, and it makes anyone who’s against her seemingly unable to win unless the championship isn’t on the line. Enough of this.
