5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Clash Of Champions 2020

1. The Roman Reigns We’ve Needed

Holy hell, that was painful to watch… in the best kind of way.

Roman Reigns slaughtered his cousin Jey Uso in the main event, retaining his Universal Championship by beating Jey so badly that brother Jimmy Uso had to come down and throw in the towel. Reigns peppered Uso with both heavy offense and some serious badmouth, trash-talking Jey throughout the entire match. He insisted that Uso call him the “tribal chief” and acknowledge that he puts food on everyone’s table.

To Jey’s credit, he continued to fight, getting a few hope spots throughout, but Roman’s title was never really in jeopardy. The message from the match, however, was clear: Reigns decimated his own blood en route to retaining the Universal Championship, so what will he do to anyone else?

You really couldn’t have booked this match any better: Roman verbally and physically bashing his cousin, yelling at the referee, and looking offended every time Jey mustered any offense instead of just taking the payday and laying down for him.
