5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (22 July - Results & Review)

Downs…

6. A Totally New Move Name!

Michael Cole is trolling fans, right?

There’s no way that the “Voice of WWE” had never heard the wrestling move “Frankensteiner” until Monday night. If so, Triple H might want to force him to watch 300 hours of historical wrestling footage on the WWE Network nonstop before SummerSlam.

During the Bron Breakker/Ilja Dragunov match, Breakker hit his now-signature Frankensteiner, called perfectly by Pat McAfee. Cole immediately asked, “What did you call that?” and then repeated it, adding, “as Pat McAfee just coined it.”

This has to be a troll job by Cole. But even if it is, this is just a dumb thing to troll. You actually can educate fans here. WWE has acknowledged the family lineage, so why not tell them how Breakker’s Uncle Scott pulled these off once upon a time and wowed fans 30 years ago? The move name has history, lean into it.
