5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 6 - Results & Review)

1. Target: Acquired

WWE Raw Imperium Gunther Jey Uso

Jey Uso started out 2024 by declaring he wanted to win singles gold this year, and he looks to have identified his target: the Intercontinental Championship.

Uso interrupted Gunther’s 600-day celebration, giving the Ring General his due as a dominant champ, but he made it clear that he was coming for the IC Title. Gunther, who has been gold on the mic, praised Jey for being a record-setter for the Tag Titles, but then sniped him by pointing out that he “only had to put in 50% of the work for it”. He also noted that it took Uso 15 years to step out of his family’s shadow and stand on his own, another scorching burn.

Predictably, the brawl was on shortly after that, with New Day running down to even the odds. A six-man tag between these two groups would be great fun, and Jey finally paying off his singles run by capturing the Intercontinental Championship could be a good story to follow if WWE wants to tell it. If not, he’ll make for a great challenger-of-the-month.
