5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 3)

3. LeRae, Kai Salvage Slow Start

Candice Le Rae did not have the best Raw debut last week, winning a 90-second match against Nikki ASH in an appearance where not everyone in the crowd knew who she was, and she didn’t get the chance to wow them.

Her second match Monday night against Dakota Kai threatened to be underwhelming as well in the beginning, but the two kicked it into gear after the commercial break and started breaking out some of their more innovative offense and getting fans into the match.

Of course, the numbers game reared its head, as Iyo Sky took the referee and Bayley tripped Candice on the ropes, allowing Dakota to get the pin. The loss obviously is disappointing for a newcomer like LeRae, but it should drive her more to latch onto Bianca Belair’s group, just as WarGames is fast approaching.

Coincidence? We think not.
