5. Game Over For Triple H

A nice, moving moment played out at the top of the show, as a surprise appearance from Triple H opened WrestleMania 38's second night.

Motorhead's 'The Game' provoked a giant pop in the building as Hunter followed up on his return to NXT at Stand & Deliver two nights prior. A trademark ring entrance, simple "Welcome to WrestleMania!", and "Thank you Hunter!" chants followed, by the 52-year-old left a pair of his old wrestling boots in the ring, ceremonially calling time on his wrestling career.

This was earned and deserved. Triple H didn't get to step away from the ring on his own terms, with last year's near-fatal brush with heart failure forcing his hand. It'd take a cold, cold soul to begrudge him what will likely be one last WrestleMania uber-pop after all he has been through over the past few months.

What matters most is that the man is back on his feet after a harrowing period that could have ended a lot worse. Godspeed to Triple H, his family, and anyone else close to him.
