5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2021

Downs…

7. Where Was All The Interference?

OK, so on one hand, having an Elimination Chamber match where there wasn’t any outside interference is nice. But when it actually would make sense, it makes it tougher to swallow. Follow us here…

Two wrestlers in the Raw chamber legitimately could have been taken out by outside forces during the match, and it would have made perfect sense. Kofi Kingston seems to be programmed to fight Mustafa Ali over the whole “Kofi stole my spot two years ago and launched KofiMania” deal. RETRIBUTION could have easily stormed the chamber and beaten up Kingston, ensuring his defeat.

And of course, Randy Orton has been dealing with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss for some time now, with the most recent encounter coming on Raw last week. That was an easy one – they could have had the lights drop and Orton laid out to be pinned, or just have him vanish from the match altogether.

Instead, Kingston rolled up Orton for a quick pin, and Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Kofi later on to eliminate him.

It’s a strange “down” to give – WWE didn’t overbook the chamber match – but in those two cases, they could have furthered the feud. The Ali/Kingston issue in particular would have worked really well.
