5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 16)

4. Not Exactly A Hard Sell

A battle between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley should be an easy sell: Spear versus Spear, Jackhammer versus Dominator.

But Monday’s face-to-face encounter involved a discussion about fatherhood, an introduction of Goldberg’s son, a curse word, and then a spear. Don’t get it twisted: It’s not like this was a money match and WWE screwed the pooch. This was always going to be second fiddle to Roman Reigns/John Cena.

However, the last meet-up between these two before SummerSlam felt like it should have been their third of five run-ins. Goldberg talking about his kid a bunch felt like a diversion or distraction – unless the son is going to factor into Saturday’s decision.

Either way, this should hopefully be a short and entertaining little match.
