5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (June 28)

2. Triple Threat Delivers Action

It’s tough to determine if the outcome in the triple threat main event was the right one at this point, but the match itself was yet another display of high-quality wrestling from three of the best in the company right now.

Drew McIntyre defeated Riddle and AJ Styles after nailing a Claymore on the Original Bro, earning a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. (They’ve already stated last week that even if he wins, Drew can’t cash in the briefcase on Bobby Lashley.) This once again thrusts McIntyre into a high-profile spot, but let’s face it: he’s still a top guy on Raw, so he should be prominently booked.

The questions that remain here are: Is this still leading to Jinder Mahal (who tossed five men in the battle royal earlier) somehow screwing Drew to try to get his spot or maybe interfering to set up a 3MB collision? How will Randy Orton react to Riddle trying to earn him a spot in MITB and coming up short? Will the Viper be impressed that he selflessly tried to do that, or be pissed that he failed?

Regardless, we got some nice action to close out Raw, so we’ll take that and enjoy it, and withhold a bit of judgment for right now.
