5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (June 28)

1. Six Wrestlers, Zero Faces

The problem that has plagued the Charlotte Flair/Rhea Ripley feud has now spilt over into the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship feud.

Flair teamed with tag champs Natalya & Tamina to face Ripley and Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke in a six-woman tag match. And watching it, it was literally impossible to determine who was the more likeable trio. The problem with Flair and Ripley has been well-documented in this column, but the tag champs aren’t exactly cuddly, and while Rose & Brooke are the most appealing superstars, they haven’t exactly been acting like faces recently.

No one really stood out as a babyface, and even though Flair’s team clearly was supposed to be the heels, they won cleanly, and then Rhea snuck in and hit a chop block on Charlotte after the match was over. Then she dove out and gloated – you know, like all good babyface champions do.

Seriously, what is wrong with these writers and how they book the women these days?
