5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 30)
1. Boo? Cheer? Who Cares?
Pop quiz: Who is the face and who is the heel in this Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton feud?
Bonus question: Does anyone actually care? Because the writers sure don’t seem to.
Orton appeared on A Moment of Bliss with a very childlike Alexa Bliss to open Raw, delivering an awful promo where he once again talked about hearing voices – because his entrance music says so – and how he keeps his pain bottled up. He then said he found The Fiend’s weakness: Bliss. Cue The Fiend, who basically begged Orton to hand Bliss back over to him, which he did.
So again, is Orton – the villain who massacred a bunch of legends and just lost his world title a couple of weeks ago – the hero here? Or is it The Fiend, who has tormented wrestlers for years?
On the surface, Fiend is the one who is more “in the right” here, and Orton is just despicable, so you’d assume that he’s the heel. But WWE needs to make us care – soon.
