5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (June 27)

Ups…

5. Cody Shows How To Sell A PLE

Cody Rhodes
WWE

Cody Rhodes might be on the shelf with a torn pectoral, but that’s not stopping WWE from talking about him constantly and even getting him on TV, as they did Monday night.

Rhodes did a brief interview talking about his injury, rehab and missing out on Money in the Bank. In that brief promo, he talked up each participant in the ladder match and made each one sound like a legit threat who had a chance to win and take Roman Reigns’ title.

It’s an uncanny skill that not everyone has, but it showed that Cody is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else and that WWE has been sorely lacking that type of person, whether it’s because they don’t teach it, or they don’t allow/encourage it.

Still, it was good to see Rhodes, even for a brief moment.
