5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (June 27)

4. Lashley Looks Strong Again

The Bobby Lashley/Theory feud is probably going to be deemed a failure no matter how it turns out. It’s clear that Theory is the future in WWE’s eyes, and Lashley is one of their few marketable top stars right now.

Pitting the two of them against each other seems to be a losing proposition, especially with how the feud has been booked. Lashley pinned Theory last week, and Monday, he won a handicap match against Alpha Academy, then fought off both men as well as Theory in a post-match attack.

If Lashley beats Theory, it confirms what we’ve already seen on TV and knocks Theory down a peg or two. But if the United States Champion wins, it diminishes Lashley after he has been built up as a rare believable world title contender.

But we’ll give this a tepid “up” if only because Lashley continues to look like a beast.
