5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (March 1)

4. Priest Takes Out Elias

Last week, we criticized WWE for doing a return engagement between Damian Priest and Angel Garza when there were more than a half-dozen ideal wrestlers who the newcomer could have toppled.

So on Monday night, we got our wish, as Priest tangled with Elias. The match itself was pretty pedestrian – there was an abundance of armbars and chinlocks mixed in with some spinning heel kicks and jumping knee strikes – but the end result was all that mattered, with Priest downing the troubadour for the 3 count.

It would be nice to see Damian climb the ranks a bit more, but with six weeks until WrestleMania, it’s probably more important to set the stage for that, since you’ve got to imagine WWE is going to want Bad Bunny involved in something there.
