5 Ups 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 19)

Okay, that’s a bit of an oversell, but the title fits Monday’s events.

Elias held a rock concert Monday night in advance of his album dropping next week, but the performance (which actually wasn’t bad at all) also served as the backdrop for an ongoing feud between he and Jeff Hardy. The Charismatic Enigma posed as Elias’ roadie, holding the guitar and refusing to hand it back to the troubadour, instead playing a few riffs to upstage Elias. He then swung the axe to send Elias running.

This rivalry actually goes back five months, when Hardy was rumored to have driven intoxicated and injured Elias. Naturally, Elias blamed Jeff and laid him out with a guitar shot last week, so Monday’s theatrics was the next logical progression. And then Elias challenged Hardy to a PPV match.

See? It’s not that hard to set something up and have a match scheduled for Hell in a Cell. Let’s give credit where it’s due here.
