5 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Fb 28)

2. Is Anyone Paying Attention?

This is more of an indictment of the booking team than it is the individual decisions, but did anyone notice that the last two segments of Raw had back-to-back heel turns?

We first saw Damian Priest lose his United States Championship and turn heel by attacking new champ Finn Balor, blaming the fans for not cheering him. Then moments later, AJ Styles accepted Edge’s challenge to fight at WrestleMania 38, only for the Rated-R Superstar to brutally attack him and lay him out.

Seriously, who is booking this stuff? Why would you slot two major heel turns on the same show, and one right after the other like that? Yes, Mania is rapidly approaching, but there are four more episodes of Raw to go. Surely, one of these turns could have waited a week. Would it have killed them to hold off on one, or at the very least have the US title match earlier in the show?

It’s just poor booking that doesn’t make sense.
