5 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb. 22)

1. Time To ‘Old Yeller’ RETRIBUTION

It’s finally time to call it: RETRIBUTION is done, beyond redemption. Short of them flipping a switch and just turning into world beaters who were holding back for months, it’s time to do the Old Yeller and put this stable down.

T-Bar and Mace faced off against New Day in a tag match where the masked duo managed to isolate Kofi Kingston and quickly hit him with their double-team finisher… only for Mustafa Ali to tell them not to pin him, but to hit the move again. Naturally, this led to the two bumbling around and allowing Kofi to hit both men individually with Trouble in Paradise, pinning T-Bar.

Xavier Woods mocked them, telling the losers that New Day doesn’t work by the hour. Ali dressed down his losers by asking how many times will they keep letting him down, then asked the question all of us have to be wondering ourselves: “How much longer do I have to deal with this crap?”

Seriously, this is beyond pathetic. Ali/Kingston is probably the one feud that actually has real history to it, and they’ve flushed it – and any credibility Mustafa had left – during the last month or so. It’s just so embarrassing to watch talented wrestlers like Ali, Dominik Dijakovic and Shane Thorne stumble around like morons week in and week out.
