5 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb. 22)

Ups…

5. Styles Clash?

Riddle John Morrison

Opinions will vary on the Riddle/John Morrison match on Monday night, whether it was a good back-and-forth match, or if the two wrestlers just couldn’t get on the same page.

The new United States Champion and the man he pinned to win the title battled back and forth, exchanging kicks and various submissions holds as they tried to gain an upper hand. Neither man really was in control for an extended period, as they countered each other and kept charging at the other man.

In the end, Riddle caught Morrison as he went for Starship Pain and connected with Bro Derek for the win. Even if you didn’t like this match and thought it was a clunker, there was one good thing about it: Riddle won cleanly, something he’s struggled to do consistently on the main roster.
