5 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Survivor Series 2021

4. Tag Teams Fire Up Fans

For whatever reason, fans really have taken to RK-Bro (this writer included), so their match against the Usos had a lot of potential going into Survivor Series. Throw in the actual heat added on last week on Raw, and you had something there.

The match itself was pretty good, with both Raw champs suffering at the hands of the SmackDown champs, but then also firing up and laying into both Usos. Randy Orton ran wild with his usual flurry of offense, but an RKO attempt was countered into a series of superkicks, so Riddle got in and went off on both Usos until a pop-up Samoan Drop nearly ended his night.

The ending was beautiful, with Riddle kicking out of a double superkick and Orton getting a blind tag, then countering a splash on Riddle with an RKO (outta nowhere) for the shock win.

Really, there were no losers here, so it was great to see WWE actually book a real finish instead of something designed to “protect” both champs.
