There's no better division on the entire planet right now than the NXT Women's Division. That they can pluck a fairly-aimless Nox out of the brand's midcard and put together a match that would have gone down amongst the best in TakeOver history is incredible. One week of build, one number-one contender match and, you've got a believable title change on your hands, and the background narrative to warrant it.

Nox would make a great champion, and despite this only being a TV main-event a week removed from a a big show, you thought throughout that it might actually happen.

It didn't, of course, but letting Io's more vicious side out to really paint her as a resilient and determined underdog made for compelling watching. Nox's history of horrific injuries informed every near-fall in this, with Shirai selling her own knees a really, really clever piece of storytelling.

While Shirai had just about enough to overcome her opponent here, if we're in for an entire summer of 15/20 minute main-event title defecnes against a revolving door of this roster's impossible depth of talent then, well, f**k me dead lads, what a time to be alive. I wonder who's next...
