3. Elimination Match? What Elimination Match?

This is some WCW level of stupidity here.

WWE gave us a fatal four-way elimination match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship Monday night, pitting Miz, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley against each other. The announcers stressed multiple times that this was an elimination match, hence why Lashley and Corbin could work together and not worry about stealing the win from the other.

So what happened? After Lashley and Corbin spent the entire match teaming up, Bobby and Braun brawled out into the crowd and out of the arena, and Corbin hit an End of Days on Miz for the pin… and the win.

Somehow, the referee made the determination that Lashley and Strowman had abandoned the match and were no longer participating in it, making Corbin’s pin the only one and earning a Universal title match at Super Showdown.

You know what they could have done if they didn’t want to have Lashley and Strowman pinned? Don’t book an elimination match.
