5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Mar 14)

3. This Week On Miz TV...

The Miz Maryse

We should know what we're getting from The Miz, Maryse, John Cena, and Nikki Bella at this point. The feud has largely revolved around both couples throwing deeply personal verbal barbs at each other, and that's probably how it's going to continue for the next couple of weeks. If the segments are as strong as they have been thus far, however, nobody will be complaining, and last night's Miz TV was typically excellent.

Miz once again felt like he was shooting from the hip as he continued his theme of drawing upon real-life criticisms to run Cena into the ground. Maryse wasn't shy of getting involved either, and while not as refined as her husband, her promo was equally vociferous. The duo have done a great job of exposing their twisted visions of Bella and Cena to to the world, and they have successfully built one of WrestleMania's most heated rivalries as a result.

Their words eventually drew Cena & Bella out from backstage, but Daniel Bryan interjected before things could get too out of hand. The match is finally in the books, and while Bryan is in real danger of becoming a full-on Cena apologist character, he clearly has a dog in this fight. He's right when he says that Miz is taking advantage of the fact that he can't fight him, and an embarrassing Miz loss will be high on Bryan's WrestleMania wishlist.
