5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Sept 27)

Downs...

2. Starting With A Whimper...

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt have been feuding for a month, and every week, it's the exact same thing. Orton will cut a terrible promo, Wyatt will cut a technically sound promo that ultimate says nothing, and there'll be a stalemate.

This week, Orton opened Smackdown by talking about fear. He mentioned that some people are afraid of snakes, and that Wyatt is afraid of him. He challenged "The Eater of Worlds" to come down to the ring, but Wyatt appeared on the screen. It was time for another one of Bray's weak metaphors, as he compared Hansel and Gretel's trail of bread crumbs to the trail he had left in Orton's prison of a mind. Orton then headed to the back.

Impossible as it is to believe, this feud - which started off pretty lousy - has gotten worse with each passing segment. At this rate, by the time No Mercy rolls around, we'll all be asleep.
