5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Sept 27)

1. ...And Continuing With One

The Randy Orton-Bray Wyatt feud didn't end with the opening segment - not by a longshot. For the rest of the show, the camera kept cutting backstage to show Orton looking for Wyatt and facing some of the traps that "The Eater of Worlds" had laid for him.

At one point, Orton found an antler backstage (really). Later, he found a cardboard cutout of himself - with the eyes removed. He ran into Erick Rowan, but managed to evade Wyatt's henchman by locking him behind a door. Meanwhile, Wyatt cut more promos from his lair.

Finally, Orton - wearing a sheep mask - found Wyatt, then attacked him. After laying out "The Eater of Worlds," Orton began singing "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," and laughing - simultaneously. This prompted the crowd to chant "New Day Rocks!"

Odds are, anyone following wrestling for a while has heard about some really dumb backstage segments from the past. These were right up there (or down there) with the worst of the worst. As bad as this feud already was, it - and Orton's performance - got even worse.
