5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE Mae Young Classic (Sept 20)

Ups...

5. Welcome Back Kaitlyn

(Admittedly, this is a guilty pleasure for this writer.)

It’s been four years since we last saw Kaitlyn in WWE, and she made her return in a Mae Young Classic first round match that aired Wednesday. A former Divas Champion, Kaitlyn left in early 2014, before the Divas Revolution took hold and turned 30-second segment-filler matches into more respectable contests and feuds. (It’s far from perfect, but it’s definitely a huge improvement.)

Kaitlyn looked pretty good in her return, working a pretty basic match with the still-green Kavita Devi. But she looked pretty decent, hitting some dropkicks, slamming the much-larger Devi, nailing a cannonball, and hitting a spear to finish.

It’s unclear whether this is a one-time deal for Kaitlyn, but it was good to see her get back into the ring and mix it up.
