5 Ups And 2 Downs From WCPW Loaded Episode 6

5. Up - Toothbrush Troubles

WCPW/The Ringside Perspective

Comedy wrestling is tricky - unless it's done correctly, it's really not worth doing at all. Fortunately, independent promotions typically have a better grasp on it than WWE does (more humor based on wrestling spots, fewer Santino Marella-Cobra moments), and WCPW is no exception.

The comedy came when TNA star Grado took on Martin Kirby in one-on-one action. Grado uses a style that's all about entertaining the fans, while Kirby is great at being the butt of jokes. As such, the crowd ate it all up.

The high point of the match came when Kirby grabbed the fanny pack (bum bag, for you UK residents) Grado had brought out to ringside, then opened it up and pulled out a toothbrush. As Grado watched angrily, Kirby stuck the brush down his trunks and rubbed it all over his behind. He then tried to stick it in Grado's mouth, but this being wrestling, you can probably guess what happened.

So in the end, Kirby ate the toothbrush and a Wee Boot, then was pinned by Grado. This was a lot of fun, but it would also be nice to see Kirby make more use of his skill and athleticism at some point.

After the bout, Prospect attacked Grado until Joseph Conners and Joe Hendry made the save.
